7K a year Description Vincennes University's Technology Division is seeking applicants for the position of Program Chair for BS in Technology on the Vincennes campus.
This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position with benefits.
Primary Function/Description:
The Program Chair for the BS in Technology will be part of a team of educators who are committed to student learning and to meeting industry/workforce needs.
The Program Chair must demonstrate a strong service attitude, effective communication skills, on-going attention to best practices for workplace learning, and the ability to collaborate with diverse users and stakeholders.
This position will require the candidate to lead innovation and curriculum development to ensure that the program remains relevant and strong.
The baccalaureate programs at VU are a focal point in the strategic plan for the university and will be emphasized as an area of future growth.
Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and develop Technology-BS Program curriculum.
Supervise and source faculty to teach 300- and 400- level courses in this program.
Advise students in the Technology-BS Program and monitor progress.
Work collaboratively with other VU personnel in programs related to the Technology-BS.
Teach courses in the Technology-BS Program, meeting expectations for VU faculty.
Coordinate strategic efforts, such as assessment, for the Technology-BS program.
Work closely with the Office of Distance Education.
Communicate and collaborate with industry stakeholders.
Participate in recruitment activities to promote the Technology-BS program.
Collaborate with VU colleagues as opportunities arise to maintain a strong University community.
Other duties as assigned.
The Program Chair will report to the Dean of the College of Technology.
Required and Preferred Qualifications A Ph.
D.
is preferred but may be replaced by a Master's Degree and exceptional skills or experience from among those noted in the responsibilities for this position with at least five years of full-time experience in educational administration and/or management.
The successful candidate must possess a leadership philosophy that emphasizes an environment of collegiality incorporating open communication and team management in addition to a strong background in technology (business, industry, and/or CTE).
Experience must also include project- based learning, partnerships, articulations with community colleges and other higher education institutions, and adult education.
Interpersonal and communication skills will be required to work effectively with the University's diverse student population.
The successful applicant must show evidence of a commitment to issues concerning student success.

Curriculum development.
Program/Course Assessment.
Proven leadership skills.
Course programming/teaching in technology.
Distance education/Internet-based learning (Blackboard a plus).
Physical Demands:
Normal physical demands for successful work in a normal office environment.
ANTICIPATED START DATE:
Summer 2023.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
